SURRENDER TO PROCESS
Relax - Learn - Relax - Unlearn - Flow
Singing / Songwriting
What seems to happen very often is that when we relax, inspiration seems to .appear.
So you might get a melody, a phrase, a rythmic pattern or an idea for a song.
For those who want to dedicate some time to songwriting - I am happy to share my experience and help you use your own material whatever stage you are at.
This is not about making a CD or getting a quick result.
I am more interested in creating a warm and friendly atmosphere for people to take the opportunity to explore, experiment and get more familiar with the creative process.
Learning a song, dedicating some time to musicianship and music theory, healthy warm ups and improvisation, first steps in composition and songwriting.
No previous background is required.
I tailor the sessions according to the students' specific requests.
"For my own experience - I enjoyed the space to explore my voice with
freedom - the environment you created was very open and supportive and
you structured the time enough to provide direction when it was
needed. In stark contrast to working with a computer, I was able to
bring expression to the present moment, in real time, without having
to think about the end product and in fact, the end product was more
like a sense of well-being and of confidence.
Ulises Diaz Ropero
Singer, percussionist and a Spanish teacher born in Toledo, he has been based in London for the last eight years.
Ulises has a vast experience working with groups teaching percussion to kids and adults in the UK and in Spain.
"Drumming is a form of expression, drumming is a way of life that can be externalized and internalized at the same time. We need a pace in everything and this is rhythm in its purest form which is not about speed or or volume but connecting with yourself and listening to others".
We aim to make rhythm with all sorts of elements not just the usual instruments.
We will be working on specific phrases, different rhythm patterns, we will explore the intricate but simple world of flamenco hand-clapping, we will jam around the fire looking at the stars in the incredible warm nights of Cadiz.
Spanish language and culture are becoming a commonplace for many many people around the world and where else would you learn it better than in Spain?
We will have not too long sessions of conversational Spanish but what is more important , I will encourage you to use it in your whereabouts in La Hacienda.
Mireille de Haas
My name is Mireille de Haas and I am a certified yoga teacher. As of august 2009 I live in Conil de la Frontera in Andalusia, with my husband and our two daughters. This beautiful white village is at the Costa de la Luz: the coast of light.
The magnificent beaches, the space, nature, the people, the sun, all of this appealed to us so much that we left Holland to start a new life over here. In Holland I taught different styles of yoga and I will keep on doing this in Spain, Yoga for me is a way to find rest and new energy within myself. I believe in the power of yoga and would like to express this during my lessons.
I hope that I can welcome you at the Costa de la Luz to share my passion for yoga with you as well as this beautiful part of Andalusia
I offer 2 forms of yoga:
Flow Yoga
These classes are dynamic and energetic. Flow yoga is about linking the breath with the posture, one moves from pose to pose in a smooth, easy manner. This, together with the contraction of certain muscles and a breathing technique, causes a lot of inner health. Your body becomes stronger and healthier. By drawing your attention to breath and movement it relaxes the body and calms the mind. Every lesson ends with a relaxation.
Hatha Yoga
With the `ha` meaning sun and the `tha` meaning moon hatha yoga is commonly translated as the yoga that brings union to the pairs of opposites. A lot of attention will be given to the control of the breathing in different postures. In the class you will learn to discover where you hold tension , how to relieve and how to relax even deeper. The class is gentle and has an easy pace, ending with a long relaxation.
